Our StoryThe Tropicana Classic Western Spectacular is a show run by a group of like-minded dedicated individuals who are longstanding members within the western performance horse industry. We are working closely with the local and state clubs and national associations in order to organise the best possible experience for competitors, traders, sponsors, and spectators.
The Tropicana Classic showcases all western breeds and is Queensland major annual show that has become a fixture of the western show calendar. The Tropicana Classic was introduced to the show calendar to create a major all breed western performance show for Queensland, equivalent to the Summer Sizzler (VIC) and the National Pleasure Horse Association Championship show (NSW), and attracting competitors Australia wide. In 2023, the Tropicana Classic attracted 476 horses competing over 9 days of showing, with over $80,000 in prize money up for grabs across the Tropicana Classic, the Western Dressage SEQ Championships and the Tropicana Classic Barrel Race. Our Aim
The Australian Equine Institute and the Tropicana Classic Quarter Horse & Performance Club aim to showcase the versatility of performance horses at a world class equestrian facility, whilst creating a community atmosphere that is an all-inclusive experience for competitors, traders, sponsors and spectators. This show will feature a range of disciplines and will host a traders alley offering great retail opportunities, along with nightly entertainment.
